In 1962, Mary visited Israel as a young teenager and met me, Jacob, in Tel-aviv, while I was serving the Israeli army as a paratrooper. Two years later, I went for a visit to Kansas City, where Mary is from. Six months later in 1964, we got married. For 15 years I worked in the garment industry as a cutter. Then, after the garment industry moved over seas, my wife Mary and I decided to go into the fabric business. In 1979, we opened our store and decided to name it Addadi's Fabrics.
We have two sons, six grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. All of them have worked, work, or will work at the store on Saturdays to keep the store family oriented.
